When people say the word bespoke I normally think of Savile Row, Harrods and the bridal industry because they all offer exceptional standard tailoring services. So when I found out CUTLER AND GROSS offer a bespoke service, I thought to myself – wow our eyes are in for a treat!
CUTLER AND GROSS is a bespoke British brand that has transformed a medical necessity to a fashion must have accessory. Now… they are my kind of brand! The top floor of their flagship store had a complete revamp and they transformed it into a luxurious glasses boudoir or heaven- whatever you want to call it. If you love eyewear then this will be the sort of thing you would call heaven. It houses four thousand frames and some even date back to 1969 so it really is something special.
If you think the wall of glasses look impressive then you should see the more secluded private area. When I walked in I could not believe how glam and how beautiful it looked. If you walk into that room and you don’t end up buying a pair of glasses then there is something wrong with you. The staff member will of course be assisting you all the way and you can even sip some champagne whilest picking your frames- now that is what I called buying glasses in style and in line with the world class service you would only receive at luxury department stores such as Harrods… eat your heart out!
That gorgeous rosey pink leather chair you see there is of course vintage, a very rare colour leather and it was picked by the creative director Monica Chong, – it is just pure glasses heaven and you wouldn’t even think you have walked into an eyewear store or as people like to call it an “opticians”.
CUTLER AND GROSS also have an impressive range of colour for you to chose from but if you are after a particular colour or want a certain shape- what ever you feel is right for you then their unique one off bespoke service will be the answer. You know you are getting the best and you know the service will be world class.
It’s only fitting that CUTLER AND GROSS would want to offer such personal services: it’s a brand that has long prided itself on its unique combination of precision technology and artisanal craftsmanship. It is one of the rare remaining examples of an eyewear manufacturer that continues the tradition of handmade frames, produced by its own factory in Italy; All the frames are manufactured by the finest craftsmen who combine traditional production techniques and beautiful material.
CUTLER AND GROSS a Rainbow of Colour
I do understand this kind of one off bespoke service comes with a price tag but if you do have the spare pennies then this will be worth investing in. At the end of the day your glasses aid you to see the world more clearly and your face is the first thing people notice. Well worth saving your pennies for if you are sick and tired of the normal “opticians”.
