Over in the UK we have had some lovely warm sunny weather today and when the weather is this good you will of course need a nice bright pair of glasses or sunglasses to go with it. What would be better than a spot of tangerine, nice and vibrant! There is actually a reason why I picked that colour because according to Pantone that is the colour of 2012.
Just incase you guys out there are not aware Pantone are the people who have the world’s authority in colour across the whole design industry. They dictate a new colour for each year and if you are a real design geek then you would have definitely heard of the brand.
Here are my top 5 choices of tangerine frames…
At 5th place is Bloomsburry by JK London. The colour is just not vibrant enough for my liking but some people may prefer that.
At 4th place is Cutler and Gross style number 0702. I do love the tangerine leather but I feel there isn’t enough of it.
In 3rd Place is Kirk Originals Angel, part of the Sunbeam collection. If you are after optical frames then check out the Beam collection. Such a fun and colourful range.
In second place is another Cutler and Gross frame. I love the shape but just something about it that I am unsure of so it only made it to no.2. Maybe the bottom rim is too thin and not bold enough for me.
In 1st place is Andy Wolf‘s Miss Marple. Why? simply because it is BOT (bang on trend) the frame and the lenses are both in a shade of tangerine. The frame itself has a layer of french lace sandwiched in the frame and it is the cats eye style. This frame simply hits all the key eyewear trends of the moment. Of course if you want to wear it as an optical frame then simply take it to your opticians to get prescription lenses put in. WhaaLaa!
So there we have it, my top 5 tangerine frames for 2012. It is a great colour to brighten up the UK dull winters day but in the meantime I am going to enjoy this gorgeous warm sunshine and wear my tangerine frames with the brightest summer outfit 🙂 Go on, go and treat your eyes and your wardrobe to this much needed accessory 😉
