Have you all been following the Paralympics? I have but I am slightly disappointed with the Channel 4 coverage! On Saturday I really wanted to watch the table tennis but they did not televise it and it wasn’t even on their website! The official Paralympic website it said it was live but Channel 4 obviously were not bothered. I was not a happy bunny!

So yes all in all I am still pretty obsessed with the whole Olympic thing but I have not bought any tickets to go and watch it live because I spent so much money last time. I really should of thought about that, I think last time to watch the 3 different games I managed to whack up a £300 bill on my credit card so between my fiance and I we spent about £600 on tickets!!! Not ideal when you have a wedding to pay for.

Anyway rant over, who watched the women’s 100m tonight?

”]Paralympics women 100m Sophie Kamlish

Team GB’s very own Sophie Kamlish was running and look at what she was wearing… a pair of glasses! I have never seen any athletes in glasses before. Sunglasses-yes but never glasses so I was very impressed. I wonder if her glasses are specially designed or needed special a fitting to ensure during the race they stay on properly and not slide down or bounce around! I mean when ever I do sports I tend to wear contact lenses just in case.

I also wonder what brand she wears? Will it be a sports brand like adidas who are of course the official sponsor of the London 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games, or are they just a pair that she always wears so she is not endorsing any brand in particular? Either way I am very impressed to see an athlete in glasses. Surely just because you wear glasses they should not stop you from doing sports-right!? Guys, I think we all need to take a leaf out of this athletes book especially these Paralympians who have over come their disability to show the world what they are all about and that everything and anything in life is achievable as long as you put your mind to it! 🙂 Go Team GB!
