As I was enjoying a spot of X Factor on catch up via ITV player I came across quite a few adverts and one to my surprise was an ad for ASOS, one of the most well known online shops around, even my 15 year old cousin from Hong Kong knows about it. It was just odd to see their ad in between The X Factor but in seeing that, it has triggered something which I saw a few weeks ago.
I am a HUGE fan of ASOS and because I shop on it so much I get their free magazine through the post and it is actually quite a good fashion mag. I do love a fashion mag 😉 With the December issue I noticed there were a few ad’s for Specsavers. It is not like your normal ad from Specsavers infact it is promoting how they are working in association with ASOS. Now that is exciting!
You know glasses are becoming more of an essential accessory as well as being a medical necessity when a big fashion company like ASOS are happy to work with an eyewear chain like Specsavers. I think it is going to be an exciting project and I am looking forward to see what else they have got in store for us.
Glasses have always been associated with being uncool and fashion magazines do often neglect them but I hope by a fashion chain like ASOS who are willing to work with an eyewear chain, will raise the profile of eyewear to the next level and for them to be seen as fashionable. In the meantime I will see if I can fish out more information for you regarding this exciting project they got going on 😉
I would also like to take this opportunity to remind all you readers out there that I am off to Hong Kong in 6 days time for my brother’s wedding so blogging will be less frequent, especially the first week I am there with the wedding etc… so please do bare with me on this one.
