Throughout my years of wearing glasses (god, I am making myself sound old) I have been thinking how much do I actually look after my glasses? When I first started to wear glasses at the age of 12 I really didn’t care about them because I hated wearing them so I never put them back in the case and just threw them straight into my school bag . Obviously back then scratch resistance lenses didn’t exist either so yeah they used to get really scratched up then my mum would give me a RIGHT telling off  for not looking after them.

Then of course scratch resistance lenses were invented and hallelujah it solved all the problems in the world! It means I can throw my glasses around and it doesn’t matter. Now days I am probably more careful with my glasses compared to the olden days especially now I am older and wiser I do tend to buy myself cute glasses cases to keep them in. I don’t believe in keeping the ones that are provided unless they are REALLY well designed and I HATE chunky cases- why make them so big? As if I can fit them into my bag! So the solution is… a fabric pouch. They may not be as protective against knocking and bashing but are much better for handbags. I’ve noticed most of the high street fashion chains produce pretty cute pouches for their sunglasses and I especially love this one I saw from Oasis.

To me, designing a good looking pair of frames is not the complete package, they need a cool case or pouch to keep them in too and something that will really finish them off nicely so well done Oasis for creating that cute little pouch. It is a simple design but it works, I would be happy to have that in my handbag.

What are your thoughts on glasses cases? Are you a case kinda person or a pouch kinda person? I am defo a pouch girl if its going into my handbag however, at home, case all the way . By the way keep a look out of the all new e-commance site coming soon on the MyGlassesAndMe site, it will be selling all things cute and glasses related at purse friendly prices 😉
