So, what have I been up to on day 4 of London Fashion Week? Well to be honest, not a lot because I am a tad ill since I have caught the deadly “man-flu” off my darling husband. However, thank god for the internet and live streaming so I still got to enjoy the catwalk shows whilst rocking my PJs. My head and throat are seriously killing me so sitting in my warm bed whilst watching the shows is about as glam as it gets for me and I pretty much doubt I will be ok for the last day tomorrow!!

Today I was watching the KTZ show, why you may ask? Simply because he also designs some awesome theatrical eyewear which does get feed through to something more wearable for the high street. For Spring/Summer 2014 his collection is all about desert chick (think SATC 2 movie) mixing up arabic chic with a touch of mystery. We are also seeing a lot of patterns, mixing different fabrics and the use of perspex to create those patterns. The most exciting thing is that the eyewear also contains the use of patterns around the edge of the frame so it will be interesting to see if that will get transferred to mainstream eyewear!

Please do excuse the photo quality as I was laying in bed and doing screenshots, not ideal I know, but I was determine to share this with you.

The model above was wearing sun visor style sunglasses. The rim of the glasses is decorated with a reflective pattern! Totally cool! I want to see that in sunglasses styles for spring/summer 2014.

I love the arabic/desert theme with this KTZ SS14 collection and I wonder if the eyewear industry will take that onboard and design optical wear with that theme in mind with an air of mystery.

This London Fashion Week I have seen a few shows and there seems to be common ground and that is; patterns, patterns, patterns. The patterns are created using different fabrics to the main garment and mixing and clashing different patterns together.

Lets see if the eyewear world will take notice of what is going on for SS14 and create some eyewear that is just as exciting as what I have seen during London Fashion Week. For now I am going to rest up and prepare myself for a busy week ahead!
