As winter 2014 is arriving, in the world of fashion we are already looking at Spring/Summer 2015 and now we are in October we are once again in the full swing of press days where journalists get to check out next seasons fashion and work way ahead of the game to bring consumers a taster of what is to come. Today is just the start of my press day journey and over the next few weeks there are more to come so it is going to be busy, busy, busy up until the end of November. My first press day was checking out RetroSuper Future- one of the coolest Italian eyewear brands then it was off to Kite Eyewear, the new British brand I have been going on and on about.
RetroSuper was pretty much focused on showcasing their sunglasses range since today was about S/S2015 and there are some damn cool sunnies coming out. It seems like for next season a lot of the “mounting effect” is coming out in eyewear. By mounting I mean the lenses look like they have been sunk way into the frame and the frame creates a mount type effect like when you frame a picture. Check out tomorrow’s blog for more photos 😉
Next up is Kite eyewear. This brand is quite an exciting eyewear brand for the UK and I am a big fan myself because they are innovative. They were only launched back in early May but already they have bought out a new and exciting concept “remix” plus some new styles added into the collection. This way it keeps the collection constantly refreshed and keeps customers engaged and excited about the brand. It is kind of like fashion because you will never see a fashion brand that just brings out one collection for entire 365 days- it just doesn’t work and would not keep customers excited. It is good that Kite have adopted this way of working.
However, the most exciting thing about Kite is in the next few weeks they are due to launch another range! To start with, Kite was all about acetate but not this new range. They are going for metals! The look so cool and the way they are designed from a distance you may actually think they are acetate frames. Stay tuned in next weeks blog post where I can sneak a few more pictures in but for now the one above is what you can expect.
