I know I am massively behind with all my press day write ups because there has been so many but finally as we are fast approaching the end of November (eeeek!) things have quietened down and I can finally go back and look at all the images I took and write about some of my favourite glasses. There have been many and I didn’t want to just touch on them briefly in one post as I feel they all deserve a proper write up. Following on from yesterdays write up on the Linda Farrow press day I am going to carry on with that theme today.

Linda Farrow produces a few high end couture eyewear brands but as well as that they also have their own Linda Farrow range. Today my focus will be on their own range because I am always quite wowed by them. Their frames may not look too over the top in terms of design, infact some may look rather simple but their focus is on the use of materials to finish their frames off.

The glasses in the first picture were finished off with a snake skin effect material and I love the fact it is metallic which is a bit different to the norm since most snake skin frames I have seen are either in a “natural” colour or brown, so to see metallic is rather refreshing. Obviously we have learned for S/S2015 is all about metal frames and Linda Farrow is no different BUT the one big difference is ALL of their metal frames are either plated in 24k gold or rose gold so they really are practically a piece of jewellery for your face.

I bet you all wonder how much one of these gold plated frames costs… well, yeah they are not going to be cheap. A price hasn’t been confirmed yet but Linda Farrow frames are normally from around £350 upwards and I would suspect these frames may be higher. Due to the plated gold, naturally the frames will be heavier and all I am going to say is if you are going to buy yourself a pair then god, DON’T EVER LOSE THEM!
