Back in October I said MGAM would start to cover beauty for us specs wearers because I think a lot of the time we either neglect that area because we think our eyes are hidden behind our glasses or we don’t really know what to do. Since I started the MGAM magazine I have actually learned a lot about beauty for us glasses wearers and I am still on a never ending quest to find the best way to cover dark circles (I am obsessed, especially since I will be a mum soon- hello sleepless nights!). One thing that is quite prominent when I get chatting to different beauty brands is that they all agree people who wear glasses do tend to forget about the eye area. This does seem bonkers thinking about it, considering that is the first area everyone looks at when communicating with you.
As you all know, as well as writing this blog I also write for fashion Brand Red or Dead, WGSN and 100% Optical. For the Red or Dead blog in December they have actually asked me to cover beauty! So I am currently compiling a write up for them which is based on beauty tips I have learned during my press day adventures.
Sunkissed was one of the brands I came across and in my Red or Dead post the tips I have learned from them will be going in. They are a bronzer brand but as you can see they also do a gorgeous eye palette. Here is a quick preview of some of the things I have learned. Bronzer is best when you don’t cake it on and when applied frugally, bronzer is the best and the most natural way to give you a healthy glow without looking like a clown. I personally have never EVER used bronzer because I am scared by it. I do see too many girls looking like an orange rather than having that “healthy glow” but now I love it after my advice from SunKissed.
Read all about the Sunkissed eye make-up tips on the Red or Dead blog which will be going live on 15th December, I will remind you all again closer to the time. I have to say, the tips are good, they taught me how to brighten up the eye area without over powering it and I even learned a beauty tip that Cheryl Fernandez-Versini is a fan of.
