Right now I am not far off from my due date. I am now at 37 weeks and am approaching 38 weeks soon so anything can happen but guess what… I am ill. SO typical when I decide to start my semi maternity leave and let myself work less… I fall ill. Noting major to be honest, just a cold but I have not had a cold THIS BAD for quite a while. I am one of those annoying people who doesn’t really get ill or catch other people’s illnesses so yeah, my overall health is pretty good I like to think. Being pregnant and knowing my immune system is weaker plus I can not take any medication… really sucks! I have never drank so much honey, lemon and ginger tea in my life AND I have not had a blocked up nose like this for quite a while. I can barely breathe so I am not even sure how my baby is getting any oxygen from me right now.
You may think what the hell has this got to do with glasses… well let me tell you this issue I am about to raise I think only specs wearers can and will sympathise with. I have had this cold for a week now (which is unheard of from me) so I have been blowing my nose like crazy and I am pretty sure I am going through about a roll of tissue a day. It is that ridiculous! I hate blowing my nose because my nose gets sore and I am surprised my husband still loves me after hearing how loud I can blow my nose. ha! Then on top of that every time I blow my nose my glasses steam up.
I thought maybe I am covering my nose too high up towards my glasses hence the steam up problem but even if I put the tissue down a bit I find they still steam up so I think I am just blowing my nose too hard. With all the effort I still find my nose is rather blocked up. It almost feels like why did I bother blowing my nose this hard when I am still as blocked up! It is just hopeless. Is there anyone out there having this problem with their glasses?
I was out seeing friends all weekend and I did actually find that my glasses steaming up whilst blowing my nose is a rather embarrassing problem. I mean sometimes when you walk into a shop and your glasses start steaming up is embarrassing enough and bashing into things but it happening because of blowing your nose, even worse? Oh and in public I didn’t blow my nose anywhere as loud… it is just embarrassing. Please don’t tell me I am the only specs wearer who suffers from this problem because I am sure this does happens to other people. Share with me your thoughts on this issue. Anyway rant over.
