There were two things which got my attention with Moody Eyewear. One was the design of them and the simplicity of them, then it was the name. I thought Moody, what a name. ha! The brand started from some rough sketches the founders came across which date back to the 17th century. It was a source of inspiration and from there, the founders were keen to reinvent something modern with the sketches.

The main choice in material for Moody Eyewear is metal, it has alway been a popular choice in the old days but of course Moody has given it the 21st century make over. Flat metal frames with different colour combination and for the sunglasses range, using one of the best lens brand out there, Zeiss. Since the metal are flat, the frames are flexible in comparison to other metal frames. I know a lot of die heart optical fans or people working in the industry will know using flat metal is not something new and I am not trying to say it is but just wanted to say Moody Eyewear are pretty cool and I like the layering of different colour metal.

Moody Eyewear also put their frames through a sandblasting and an electroplating bath process to give it the finishing. They are a relatively new to the eyewear market and it is a tough market to break into so I want to wish them the best of luck for the future. If you are interested in seeing the range then head over to the website for more information. The optical range starts from 199€ so around £175.
