I woke up this morning just knowing exactly what I wanted to wear today and that hardly ever happens! I am sure most girls out there can sympathise with that. I have gone for a very 70’s vibe today with my wide leg palazzo trousers and my giant round pink shades (not even sure if they suit me but I love them and brought it from River Island 2 years ago)
Some of you may wonder if all my sunglasses are prescription well the answer is no! Most of the time in the summer season I tend to wear contact lenses more just so I can wear what ever sunglasses I want. I find prescription sunglasses are never that fashionable and personally I am not a massive fan of those reaction lenses. In a way I do feel very cheated by not having perfect vision because I didn’t start wearing contact lenses until I was 18. This was when I started kick boxing (I didn’t feel wearing glasses was a good idea doing such a feisty sport). Another reason for me discovering contact lenses so late was because apparently my eye balls can still change shape. So from the age of 13- 18 I couldn’t just go and buy a nice pair of sunglasses from a fashion chain but ALL my friends could buy what ever they wanted. As for me I had to pay a ridiculous amount of money to get prescription lenses and the styles of the frames were not that exciting compared to the fashion frames.
What are your thoughts on this topic because I would love to hear from you! I mean I remember my first pair of prescription sunglasses my parents had to pay for were about £100, plus the frame (was another £100) and because I still also needed another pair of normal glasses to wear that was like another £100! If I had perfect vision I could have just bought any sunglasses from high street shops and pay as little as £10 instead of hundreds of pound.
