    36 Opticians Knightsbridge

Knightsbridge, what does it remind you of?  Well the first thing that comes to my mind is it is the home of two fabulous luxury department stores; Harrods and Harvey Nichols of course. Apart from the two superb stores it is also the home of some of the most luxurious apartments & houses anywhere London and not to mention it is labelled as “a shopper’s paradise”. So it is no surprise when I found this quirky little optician just around the corner from Harrods- 36 Opticians on 36 Beauchamp place.

I walked in there on the off chance someone would have a spare moment to have a quick chat with me about this lovely little boutique. The staff were very friendly and the owner Sveta very kindly took a moment of her time to have a quick chat with me, so here it is…

MGAM: How long has 36 Opticians been established for?

Sveta: We have been established for 9 years.

    MGAM: Why Optical?

Sveta: I started as a trainee then developed and designed my own range because I wanted to make customers feel special.

MGAM: What brands do you stock?

Sveta: Everything from vintage to new designers that no one else stocks. At 36 we have helped launch many new designers and we get approached to collaborate with new designers too.

MGAM: Describe the typical 36 opticians customer

Sveta: Most customers we get are not worried by how much it costs so budget is not the issue since we are in an affluent area. We also get many celebrity followers from Hollywood to Bollywood.

MGAM: What makes a good pair of glasses?

Sveta: A good pair of glasses are something that inspire you and makes you see the world differently.

The interview was short but sweet as I did not want to take too much time out of Sveta’s busy schedule.

If you want to find out more about 36 Opticians then please visit www.36opticians.co.uk or email Sveta’s team on info@36opticians.co.uk

    About MGAM

MGAM is an eyewear blog about all things glasses and any eyewear related items. My main goal is to bridge the gap between fashion & eyewear.

There has been a division for far too long and I hope to change that, one blog post at a time!
