Iris Apfel- so who the hell is this lady? She is no ordinary lady, she is one very stylish old lady. If you are a fashionista I am sure you will know who she is and I am sure all you fash boys and girls out there secretly wish your granny is as cool and stylish as her. I for one, certainly wish my nan is as fabulous as her but she really is not and far from it- disappointed sad face 🙁

Iris Apfel- a lady with style
So why am I writing about her? Well… the reason is, lately the shoe giant Jimmy Choo has designed a pair of sandals dedicated to her! Even the window displays are dedicated to this one very stylish, foxy old lady. Of course besides that I could not help but notice her giant crazy ass specs. Now that is what I called wearing glasses with confidence. She is certainly not hiding behind them, she is definitely flaunting them. These giant round specs are a part of her signature look, she has them in sunglasses styles as well as in different colours.

This ever so glamorous granny is a fashion crush for almost all fashionistas out there and she has got almost all fashion houses queuing up wanting to collaborate with her. If I ever meet her, I would love to chat with her about glasses, I admire how she has the confidence to wear the most outrageous glasses on a day to day basis… and pulls them off so well, which brings me to a thought… if people from the fashion industry love her so much and admire her style then surely they should feature glasses more in their publications? This lady basically says what I have always been saying about glasses and she represents what glasses are and should be… cool!
