Technology was clearly not on my side last night, I had written this blog post but the internet obviously decided to stop working and not publish OR saved my work so… second time lucky! So the other day I was talking about men in glasses and as you all know I was treating myself to a little shop on Wednesday around London after my meeting with the creative director of Cutler and Gross. As all you Londoners know every Wednesday is free Shortlist magazine day and for those of my readers who are from outside of London or around the world Shortlist is a free weekly men’s magazine which covers technology, gadgets (of course) and fashion.
This week Shortlist did a small feature on Luxury shades for you gents out there so if you love your shades for the summer then do check it out. What actually classes as luxury shades? is it the price or the brand name? To me luxury eyewear is something that I put on and it feels just like my own skin, offering me the ultimate comfort making it feel like I am wearing nothing, and of course individuality is very important.
If you missed the issue and can’t find it online then they have picked (from top to bottom) Persol, Ray-Ban, Paul Smith and Prada. I am unsure if I agree with all their choices because to me Ray-Ban seems so common, anyone and everyone owns a pair of Ray-Ban. Surely it is just the name we are buying into? Anyway that is just my own opinion 🙂
