As you all know before I was ill I was busy attending press days to view what is coming for Spring/Summer 2013. Like what I saw at London Fashion Week back in September, there will be some exciting eyewear coming out next year and we are in for a treat!
I actually love seeing glasses during press days because some PR companies may do a display with clothes as well as just glasses on their own and I think it brings it to life, making them more exciting to see. I have seen quite a few brands already but today I am going to bring you Prism– designed by Anna Laub.
From what I have seen before from a previous Prism collection, it has always been clean cut, basic and just block colours but for Spring/Summer we are seeing patterns and a bit more of colour. Shape wise some of the styles have gone more angular but my favourite from the collection has to be these camo ones. The shape is strong and the camouflage pattern is great. Maybe if you are going to rock the safari look then you will need those sunglasses to finish it off.
The dipdye effect on the frame above gives it the eyewear wow factor because there are two tone frames out there but not many are actually a dip dye effect!
Last but not least they have re-vamped the classic catseye style and bringing it to the 21 century. You just can’t go wrong with a trusty catseye style, I don’t know what it is about them but they just make everything look and feel sophisticated. Catseye glasses are like the little black dress, you will always need at least one and no matter how designers have re-vamp it- you know it is still going to be amazing.
Don’t fret optical wearers, Prism do also have an optical range but during press day they were more focused on sunglasses since it is for Spring/Summer. The optical range is just as gorgeous! To find your nearest stockist then click here and just to let you all know as well as eyewear Prism also do an amazing range of swimwear and if you love simple lines and shapes then I think you may also want to check that out. After all we are talking about Spring/Summer here, forget about winter for now 😉
