For the past few days I have been resting myself up because I was rather poorly with the dreaded flu! I have not had the flu for over 2 years so it was a shock to the system and I totally forgot how crap it makes you feel. I am generally quite a healthy person and don’t really get ill or catch illnesses of people so completely did not expect to be struck down by flu.
Whilst I have been taking it easy and taking time off work I have been catching up on my favourite cartoon- Family Guy. I got into it when my brother introduced it to me when we were both in uni and ever since then I was hooked, plus my fiance loves it too and watches it religiously. The other day when I was watching it, I came across a rather funny part in one of the episode.

It was taking the mickey out of laser eye surgery advert in America and it made me laugh so much. I mean even laser eye surgery adverts in the UK makes me cringe a little bit but this was just too funny.

When ever I do see these laser eye surgery adverts they do make me wonder why on earth would people have it done? A few of my friends have actually had it done but one of them has his sight is actually getting worse again after 5 years so that was a bit of a waste.
So the lesson here is laser eye surgery may not be a long term solution to some and I personally rather stick to glasses and contacts just because one of my other friends Ian had a bit of a horror story when he had his laser eye surgery before his wedding. It was a bit touch and go whether his eyes was going to be ok for the wedding!
So anyway if you have never seen family guy then I highly recommend it but then again you do need to have certain sense of humour to watch it because some of the jokes are a bit cruel and people will find offensive. Just a warning! 😉
