As I previously predicted Spring/Summer 2013 will be an awesome year for eyewear. Philip Lim is a hot new designer coming onto the fashion scene, everyone in the fash world is talking about him and there is a massive buzz! His signature designs are beautiful everyday classics accented with touches of madness. So for the eyewear collection we are of course expecting the same.
I personally feel for S/S 2013 Philip Lim may have gone one better as the eyewear collection was inspired by comic books and superheroes. The inspiration was subtly displayed throughout the collection with things such as strong angular shapes representing power. Cleverly done hey 😉
Philip Lim Sunglasses - CHOPPER
My favourite from the collection has got to be the sunglasses above “Chopper”. It is like an upside down semi rimless which is kinda cool and it works. I am not sure if it is because of the colour or the shape of the frame, but it reminds me of Iron-man. I wonder if this frame in particular was inspired by Iron-man? Iron-man is so cool!
