Literally right before I went to Hong Kong I popped into the EyeRespect showroom and gosh I remember that day very well. It was Raining! I had just been to a Mulberry sample sale and because it was raining so much that the Mulberry paper bag simply gave up and my new purchase went straight down into a puddle. Let’s say I was less than impressed and I cannot wait to get on that plane and get away!
I went to the EyeRespect showroom looking like a drowned rat with my very wet faux fur coat and lets just say my stress levels were building. Then I started to walk around the showroom and was having a look at some pretty cool glasses. I did slowly feel calmer and it took my mind off the wet and coldness I was suffering from.
EyeRespect distribute some pretty cool eyewear but for 2013 then have branched out and started their very own collection of super cool and trendy eyewear.

The reason for starting their own collection was simple. It was the desire to pay homage to the long and distinguished histories of English & Italian culture, style and standards of craftsmanship. This just seems like a natural combination of the two cultures with everything designed by hand in the UK and made by hand in Italy.

When I picked up a pair of EyeRespect frames I could feel the love and care which had gone into the design and production. Everything about them just screamed “I have been taken care of” and the future owner of these frames should give them the same love and care. Some may think the choice of colours are limited within the collection but to me it is all about the simplicity and going back to the classic colours. This just amplifies the two main sources of inspiration- the UK and Italy. They are in the classic colours that will always be around.
