As the wedding is approaching fast (aprox 2months away) things like stag dos and hen dos are starting to happen. For an example my first hen do (yes, I am having 2 or even 3) is coming up in the first weekend in April. My fiance is away snowboarding at the moment for his first stag do which is something he really enjoys doing. I would love to give it a try myself soon but I am unsure of the freezing temperatures, I can’t even cope with the UK weather let alone around -14 degrees.
I was helping him to pack and tried on his ski googles which always fascinates me. I know prescription googles are available but how does it work? I have done some research into this to check out the options for me when I do go in the future or it could be my perfect get out of skiing card 😉 I think his bestman (who is the guy in the photo below) needs glasses too and they are his awesome Oakley googles.
From my research there are mixed reviews on whether it is better to get prescription googles or just to wear your contacts OR a clip on glasses underneath them. In my opinion I think it is probably best to wear contacts with them just so you don’t have to worry about your glasses steaming up inside then need to turn a little fan on or something to get rid of it. However if you are not suitable to wear contacts then prescription googles or clip on glasses maybe your only solution.
Sometimes I do feel “god it sucks not to have perfect vision” it almost feels like there is always some sort of obstacle and I am sure I must have spent over £1000 on glasses, contacts & contact solution over the past 10 years- easy! But I need them to see so it is a fact of life for me. On the upside if I didn’t need to wear glasses I wouldn’t be writing this blog which have lead me to many exciting opportunities (stay tunes readers) and as eyewear is becoming more and more of a fashion accessory, I will most definitely be one very fashionable person without even trying 😉
