Iron Man 3 has been out for over a week and I still haven’t been to the cinema myself to watch it – What a crime!!! This wedding, house renovation and expanding my blogging empire is turning out to be rather time consuming and EVERYONE I know has seen it not once, not twice, but like three times already-How greedy!
So last week I did a post on the glasses Robert Downey Jr wore for the Iron Man 3 interview with BBC Radio 1 (If you missed that post then you can catch up here) and I raised many questions about his glasses, such as what brand and what lenses are they. They seem to be permanently tinted and you know what? I have actually found out what lenses they are, (still not found out the frames unfortunately but I am working on it- bare with me)!
So what lenses does the man behind the iron mask wear? I would like a drum roll please because this is a bit exciting! …….. He was wearing……… Transitions Lenses!!! I am not even kidding you! The photo above is the man himself on the red carpet with flashing lights so the lenses darken a lot to protect his eyes. Now the next picture you can see the lenses got a LOT lighter when he was in a shadow.
I think this is a great example of how Transitions lenses work because they do adjust to your surroundings and filter light for you to ensure you can see clearly and stay protected under any circumstance. What a great choice of lenses (and frame) from Mr Robert Downey Jr- they look awesome as sunglasses and oh-so sleek as glasses. If Transitions are good enough for the man behind the mask then I think it is a winner for everyone! If you want to find out more about Transitions lenses then ask your local opticians or check it out right here!
If you have got a copy of the MyGlassesAndMe magazine then you will know I have featured a new shoe brand called Julian Hakes. He makes the most awesome futuristic shoes- EVER! With all the hype on Iron Man 3 the designer has taken inspiration from the movie and turned it into a pair of shoes and by the looks of them hopefully something Pepper Potts would wear? The shoes are awesome and are actually rather comfy to wear-don’t believe me? Then try them on yourself as they are available at Schuh (not the actual Iron Man pair but the same shoes in different colour, minus the LED lights). Check these out below!! FIT!
