I know yesterday I said I would be blogging the Ashford peeps that took part in YourGlassesAndYou from my styling session BUT I simply must share my highly exciting day with you. This morning I got up bright and early again and headed down to London for a photoshoot with the Metro for an ad campaign in association with Specsavers. For all my oversea readers the Metro is a free newspaper which gets circulated in numerous of cities around the UK. So basically yes my face will be all over the UK!
There was a team made up of a stylist, make-up artist and Specsavers eyewear specialist Natasha (who I interviewed before, check that out here). They were all on hand to make sure I looked my best for the photo. The photoshoot took place around the London Wall area and how annoying that it was gorgeous sunshine yesterday but today… RAIN! Before the shoot I even got to see a new collection of eyewear going into Specsavers stores nationwide in October so that was a proper exclusive, however I am not allowed to say anymore so you guys will just have to be patient and wait- not long to go now!
Here is a sneak peak at what the photo may look like and sorry if you follow me on twitter and have already seen the photo but I can’t be taking photos of all of them. That would be giving the game away.
The campaign is due to come out early October and I am so, so, so excited to see it. I really want to see which photo was chosen because in the space of 30 minutes the photographer must of took nearly a thousand picture of me. The full body shot will be for the Metro newspaper in print and there was a close up shot especially for tablets and smartphones. I am not looking forward to seeing the close up because a great big honking spot decided to make an appearance the night before the shoot- typical! However, I am sure the make-up artist did a great job covering it up.
Nevertheless it was great fun and I enjoyed every minute of it- I got to experience what being a model feels like. By the way if you like what I am wearing then you can copy my look by shopping in these places… Yellow Jacket- Debenhams, Silk Skull tee- Deetz, skirt- TopShop, shoes- Carvela, necklace- Anton Heunis, socks – Teenie Weenie Socks and the vibrant purple frames are from the Specsavers Red Or Dead range.
