Today is indeed 3rd December which is my husbands birthday so happy birthday darling husband! What did I get up to? I worked a bit then took a half day today to attend the launch event for the collaboration between Transitions lenses and IC! Berlin. Oh and I dragged my husband with me and finished the evening with a nice meal. So yeah, I pretty much just took him to an event which was all work related for his birthday, what a wonderful wife I am. However, he did have a good time- I am not lying!
Transitions lenses, everyone must have heard of them but if not, to put it simply they are basically the people who invented colour changing lenses. Then there is IC! Berlin, a very cool German eyewear brand which is well known for their screwless design. Not to mention the brand itself is very cool and even I want to work in their office- they do singing on a Monday morning in their head office to soften the Monday morning blues. This is possibly the funniest but coolest thing ever! If they also do Karaoke on a Friday evening… I am there! I would drop everything and work in their head office!
It has actually been a very educational evening and honestly my husband did enjoy himself because we made our own pair of glasses. Yes, that is exactly what i’ve just said- we MADE our very own IC! Berlin glasses complete with Transitions lenses. Never knew I had such talent and now I may even consider opening my very own optician. hahaha! I am only kidding, It wasn’t that easy, very fiddly and required a lot of patience but nevertheless one very cool experience.
I am not going to give the game away too much as to what I got up to tonight, you will have to stay tuned over the next few days and read all about the things I learned about IC! Berlin and Transitions lenses. All I can say is the founder of IC! Berlin is one crazy dude but one of the nicest and funniest guys I have met. Once you have heard how he started the company and how the glasses are made etc.. I think you will also become an IC! Berlin fan! There is nothing not to love and as for Transitions lenses, they are possibly one of the cleverest lenses out there. Stay tuned for more!
