Thursday has finally arrived and it has been quite a hectic day but tonight I went to my first event of 2014! How exciting!!! Yep that’s right the very first one and what was it?
It was Black Eyewear celebrating their 1st birthday at their London Goodge Street store and their 100th frame design. Way back in 2012 I heard of the brand and they were featured in Look Magazine (yes a fashion mag) so I have always been intrigued by the brand. Here is a little preview of one of their frames on me!
Tonight I had an in depth chat with the founder Robert Roope and it was certainly an eye opener to the brand and how the optical industry has changed.
Black eyewear is very much focused on acetate frames so if you like your acetate then you are looking at the right brand. The frames are all 50’s vintage inspired with Jazz music being the main influence and all are very affordable from £148. Anyway it is now quite late and I need my sleep so the full write up will be coming… Stay tuned! Night!
