Who is back at work today then? I bet most people are not due back until Monday 6th, you luck lot! Today has been an interesting day because everyone I need to get hold of is still out of the office so it almost feels a bit unproductive. Right then you lot, as the clock struck 12 on New Years Eve/Day what new years resolution did you make and for the ladies how many of you got engaged? Hehehe. My new years resolution is quite simple, I just want to take MGAM to the next level and work with different brands etc.
It really has been an excellent festive break for me and also a relaxing one too. Being self employed like me, sometimes I do find it hard to separate my work time and my down time because all the pressure is on me. I have to admit there were times when I felt bad for not working and I felt like I should do something but I put my foot down and I am glad I did. Over the festive period my husband and I got WELL into watching The Big Bang Theory because my husband decided to buy the box set right before Christmas as he just couldn’t wait until Christmas day.
If you don’t know what it is all about then basically it is just about a bunch of science geeks hanging out together and living next to a gorgeous blonde girl. There is one episode in particular which made me laugh so much and I can soooooo sympathise with the characters. The characters Leonard and Amy are blind as anything and both wear glasses which is fine. However in this particular episode they were playing a very mean game where they had to take off their glasses and play “Where’s Wally” (or “Where’s Waldo” if you are in the US). Even with perfect vision it is difficult to find him let alone with no glasses and the book practically stuck to their faces.
I laughed so hard but what a mean game for us glasses wearers! I think if I have to play that game I would be squinting like Amy. I really do think people with perfect vision just have no idea what it is like for us glasses wearers. When the glasses come off things are just blurry or VERY blurry. However, great idea for a party game if I ever need one with friends that wear glasses but it might be a tad dangerous too at the same time. LOL!
