Over the weekend across the UK we have all enjoyed some gorgeous sunshine. We all probably either had a BBQ, a picnic, went to the beach, sunbathed in the garden or ate far too much ice cream. I was certainly enjoying a spot of sunshine whilst doing various bits and painting in our garden. On Saturday it wasn’t that sunny over where I was but it was hot! Even though it wasn’t sunny somehow I managed to get a proper bad tan mark from my vest top. If my friends are reading this then they will probably laugh but I have two rules when it comes to tanning 1) No vest top tan marks. I HATE getting a vest top tan mark because when I wear a boob tube I just look plan ridiculous 2) I have an obsession with tanning my legs because with a nice tan your set of pins will instantly look more toned without hours of running.
I didn’t wear my glasses or sunglasses over the weekend as I didn’t want to accidentally splash paint on them plus I am absolutely not a fan of getting a glasses tan mark on my face! Because my skin tans so easily it doesn’t matter if I wear sun tan lotion or not. My tan marks also last for 12months! Not even kidding, I have still got my tan marks from my Honeymoon way back in June 2013. I hope from that you can see why it would be an absolute disaster for me if I get a tan make on my face, I might aswell get a pair of glasses tattooed on my face. If I just wear 1 pair of frames all year round it wouldn’t be so bad, but I don’t. As I was researching into this tan marks from glasses business I came across this bizzar article and so called fashion trend!

There is a fashion trend called the “fake ski tan” What that mean is people would purposely wear ski goggles going into a tanning booth to get the “ski goggles” look. This is absolutely bonkers! Why would you want a tan mark like that on your face? Clearly even the likes of Kim Kardashian is getting on board with this trend. I personally will not be following this trend and I think this is a prime example why you shouldn’t follow every “fashion” trend!
Would you go for this trend? If so can I ask why? By the way just a word of warning when you are sunbathing in your garden or on the beach, it may not be ideal to wear your sunglasses because the UV lenses will filter the sun rays out therefore you will still end up getting tan marks. Infact the newer modern optical lenses also have UV filters. Even the newer contact lenses are UV filtered to protect our eyes!
