A couple of weeks ago I was at the launch of the Simple City Skin range and today Simple did a massive marketing campaign at Waterloo Station, London to launch City Skin. If you were at Waterloo station today and were near platforms 9-10 then you could not miss the Simple stand, not forgetting their massive advertising campaign which was splashed across the massive screens.
Why did Simple launch the City Skin campaign? Well, a lot of people who live in the city do not realise their skin also suffers from daily stress. There are signs of our skin being under stress but a lot of people do not take notice. Factors such as pollution, commuting and even the weather can all have an impact on our skin then of course not forgetting our eyes need taking care of too.
Simple City Skin at Waterloo
I went along to Waterloo today to check out the Simple launch and to chat to their experts again about how to look after our eyes or shall I say “City” eyes. I was chatting to a nutricianal specialist from Simple and she gave me lots of tips on how to keep our eyes healthy through the food we eat. The first thing she said was during the summer period, with us going in and out of air conditioned places our eyes will be prone to drying out. The best way to combat dry eyes is to make sure we are constantly rehydrated by drinking plenty of water.
If you are not a fan of water then making your own juice or eating fruit can also help keep your eyes healthy. The whole thing with drinking carrot juice is not exactly correct, the simple expert told me the best thing to do is actually to make sure you eat and drink a wide variety of fruit and veg, the more colourful you are with your fruit and veg the better. In fact, anything green is a very good choice and the Simple experts have said take extra notice of kiwi and kale because they are extra good for our eyes. Obviously, along with a healthy diet we also need products such as eye cream to help keep them looking fresh and healthy too.
