Today was a beautiful day- right? Well it definitely was in Essex and it was a day like today where I am so grateful to have a summerhouse as my office. It was a relaxing day looking out to my nice green garden and during lunch ( I do give myself a lunch break) was the perfect opportunity to sit in my garden, do a bit of sunbathing and try out my new Osiris sunglasses! At last I can try them out, I have had them for about 2 weeks now since the private dinner launch. They are not prescription sunglasses so I do have to wear contacts with them but that is a minor detail for some awesome looking sunnies.
Using the lace idea in eyewear is certainly not new and it was huge 2 seasons ago but I never owned a pair. I don’t know why but I guess I just never got around to it. These Osiris sunglasses are not just lace, they also have a different finish to them. In the photo you probably are not able to tell but the bottom half is a matt finish and the top half is a gloss finish.

As you can see they are an acetate frame but they have built a separate nose pads in these which is perfect for my Asian nose and it is still quite uncommon to find that. Very handy for people who have a smaller nose but wish to wear acetate frames because the whole “keep sliding down thing” can get quite annoying after a day of wearing them. I find it is even worse when I am sweaty and have an oily nose but that does’t happen with these Osiris sunglasses.
I only had them on for about an hour over lunch so I haven’t given them a proper run but so far so good. The only thing I would say is the acetate felt a little cheap compared to my other acetate frames (also from high street chains) so that would be my only criticism. The colour of the tint is perfect, not too dark but just enough to block out the sun rays and protect my eyes, and the gradient lenses are so on trend! I hope I can wear them tomorrow for my friend’s wedding! Fingers crossed the sun stays shining because I think they would go perfectly with my fascinator.
