Good weekend everyone? Mine was pretty much spent DIYing and sleeping. This is what happens when you get married and become a home owner because the house becomes one massive project. Back in Hong Kong I went along to Ikea in Causeway Bay and found something to house all my glasses! Well maybe not ALL exactly but at least some of the ones I have been wearing more frequently! So, the first weekend I am back from Hong Kong, I wasted no time and went along to Ikea.

The shelves are called Ribba and they are supposed to be picture ledges but clearly the guys in Hong Kong were thinking outside the box with the display so Ribba is now a multifunctional shelf. I bought 3 to start with and as my collection grows I can buy more but they look pretty good though, nice and neat by my dressing table so each morning I can pick whichever one I fancy wearing for the day.

I have kept all of them in cases for now because I would rather them not get them dusty.  Spending 5 minutes every morning just to a pair of glasses before I can wear them will not be fun. Yes, as you can see there is some overlapping and stacking already so 3 shelves is clearly not enough. A couple of them are old frames which are no longer in my prescription but what do you do with them? I can’t throw them away!

I have been searching for a glasses storage solution for ages and this is by far the best one I have come across and the most cost effective too! Like me if you have lots of glasses then I highly recommend the Ribba and I am sure they will be great for storing other things such as make-up, hair brushes etc. Check them out on the Ikea website 🙂
