For the past few days things have definitely got a bit busy with the Specsavers pre- London Fashion Week event and today was the one for Tesco Opticians. With all the excitement leading up to London Fashion Week it is good to see eyewear is getting more involved too. Today Tesco Opticians were showcasing their new A/W 2014 range. On top of that they now hold the licence to produce a much more affordable range of Oscar Del La Renta frames. Exciting times! However I will write a blog post next week on my findings from today because I have another piece of exciting news to announce.
At 100% Optical 2015 another super brand has just signed up to exhibit at the show, exciting is not the word I would use! Say hello to German brand Mykita! They are huge world wide and it is their first EVER time exhibiting in the UK which is just simply amazing because normally all big brands like that would never exhibit here. I think this is because all of our European neighbours think UK is boring and reserved when it comes to eyewear. Hopefully after 100% Optical 2015 this will no longer be the case!

This show is truly breathing new life into the UK eyewear industry! Quite a few big brands who never exhibit here are already signing up to the second show. Yes, 2015 is only 100% Optical’s second show so can you imagine what this show could achieve when it comes to years 3, 4, 5 and so on? MGAM is extremely proud to be partnering with them again as their official blogger and I hope together we can take specs to the next level. Stay tuned for more exciting news on 100% Optical because there is a lot more to come in the next few months.
In the meantime I am off to enjoy my weekend! I am off to the races tomorrow as Ascot for my friend’s 30th so my outfit needs to be planned. Oh and I have ‘the’ most amazing hat or more like the biggest hat 😉 hehe. Have a good weekend and see you back here on Monday!
