Yesterday we saw another season ending at London Fashion Week. Now the fashion clan is moving over to Milan for more fashion fun. So for the last 5 days during London Fashion Week what has been happening in the world of fashion and most importantly eyewear! Well, there were a few collaborations between some well known eyewear brands and fashion brands such as Cutler and Gross working with Felder Felder, Emilia Wickstead, Temperley London, Joseph, Giles and Holly Fulton. I am still currently waiting for images on those but as soon as I have them you will be the first to know.
If you follow the Tom Davies Facebook page then you have probably seen these images already (because that is where I got them from) but for those of you who don’t, here is one just to show you but if you want to see them all then head to their Facebook page. During London Fashion week Tom Davies collaborated with fashion brand Bora Asku and have created a collection to go with the clothing range. For SS 2015 Bora Asku’s collection was based around the theme of light to dark and using a dragonfly as a symbol of new life so the eyewear range was exactly the same.

It is always exciting for me to see an eyewear brand working with a fashion designer during London Fashion Week because it should make people within the fashion industry more aware of the eyewear brands themselves who don’t just make sunglasses because like Tom Davies, they are more about optical. It is a good way to raise the brand awareness and to introduce people to the optical range. For me I am always fascinated to see if the brand will transfer the catwalk look into optical wear because the dragonfly detail is rather cute on a pair of glasses (well I think so) but would people be “daring” enough to wear it? Well that is another matter.
Either way it is a thumbs up from me and looking forward to seeing them on sale (hopefully they will be going on sale) next year because that was the fashion week for SS 2015 so we have a bit of a wait. In the meantime check out Tom Davies website for updates and also their Facebook page.
