Halloween is fast approaching so do you have any scary plans? Funnily enough my dad’s birthday is actually on Halloween so sometimes I will actually be celebrating his birthday rather than dressing up for halloween. This year, however my uni friend is having a house party in her new pad and the rule is, the scarier the costume the better if not the punishment is shots! My husband and I have been planning ours for a while and both of us are quite dedicated to our fancy dress. What is the point going to a fancy dress party if you don’t make the effort? I am not going to tell you what we are going as because it is a secret but we have been looking at those scary eyes contact lenses.
Now… that raised a lot of questions for me. If I wear them I obviously will not be able to wear my normal contacts so that means I can’t see for the whole evening (not good) but wearing glasses just doesn’t feel as scary. Let’s be honest when have you ever see a witch, a devil or zombies looking scary in glasses? The dilemma of fancy dress for us specs wearers, but I have been searching online on maybe how I could incorporate glasses into my look and I found this on buzz feed.
This is supposed to be a minion and the whole wrap foil around your glasses thing is a great idea to create the goggle look but I am unsure why that is scary??? It is more like cute than scary. Do check out that link above on the BuzzFeed page for halloween ideas but my favourite is probably number 14. I love the Minions, I think they are the cutest little yellow things ever but I am unsure if this wouldn’t help me to win “scary” brownie points at my friends party, so I will give it a miss!
I have got just under 2 weeks to decide how I am going to incorporate my vision with my costume but damn it, my lucky husband got none of that to worry about with his vision. Stay tuned to see what we go as in the end 😉
