Adidas is probably one of the most well known sports brands around the world. Their iconic logo is recognisable worldwide with many sports fans wearing various pieces of their merchandise. As well as focusing on sports and making functional pieces of sportswear Adidas are also a fashion conscious brand with their collaboration with British fashion designer Stella McCartney. Adidas has many, many lines different products so it is easy to forget they also do an eyewear range which has been designed (and developed) for athletes, by athletes.
All the Adidas frames are designed to fit a purpose, whether you are a golfer, runner, cyclist or are even into extreme sports there will be a pair of Adidas frames suitable for you and your sport of choice. They have been designed to protect you and to be durable so you are able to enjoy your favourite sport without worrying about your glasses.
The exciting news is Adidas Eyewear will be exhibiting at 100% Optical 2015 and sharing a space with Silhouette eyewear. It may sound strange that a sport brand will be exhibiting along side Silhouette who has a very different market to them but I can tell you a little secret but Shhhhhhhhh- Adidas actually produce their frames in Silhouette’s award winning factory based in Austria. Now, you see it kind of makes sense they are joining forces on this, since everything is produced in the same place.
As I was saying yesterday It has been 6 years since Silhouette exhibited in the UK so it is a highly exciting time and having Adidas join forces with them it is truly something 100% optical can be proud of. Both are well known brands around the world and they have chosen to showcase on UK soil at a show that will only be 2 years old in February 2015. Just 4 months away and I am getting more and more excited about this show 🙂 On that note have a great weekend and see you back here on Monday for more spexy news!
