The MyGlassesAndMe quarterly magazine MGAM is now at issue 8! Can you believe it!!! I still remember doing the very first one, oh how much the layout and content has improved since. We are now going into the 3rd year of producing the magazine and further changes have been made once again to meet different demands as the magazine is growing. At the moment we actually get a lot of requests from the USA and Europe whether MGAM is available where they are and unfortunately it is a no. To post the magazine to as far as USA it is costly for them so a lot people would rather just not read it. It is a free magazine but we do ask for the P&P to be covered so we have come up with a solution.
As of this issue a digital version will be available to view online, full screen on any device. At the moment a digital version is available but it is not open to all and it is not as professional as a proper digital magazine which is now widely used on all major publications. Basically a techie geeky guy has to make the magazine user friendly and good for not just on computer but on tablets and smart phones. Moving the magazine to digital will enable MGAM to reach a wider audience. Within the UK a print version will still be distributed but the number of distributied will drop because we are investing money into making MGAM a glossy print magazine!

MGAM issue 8
How amazing does MGAM look in a glossy print??? I was so so SO pleased when they arrived and they look so different to newsprint, such an improved version. I cannot be happier and very pleased that I have taken the plunge and gone with this decision because the print distribution it is now far less but it will be focused on key opticians and beauty salons around the UK where the glossy print will look much more appealing in the waiting area which was sone of the feedback we got. So we have listened and are making it happen then on the other hand the digital version will help us to reach a worldwide audience as we will be running Facebook ads etc. We feel this is the way to move forward with the magazine.
The digital version will be available next weekend ready for 100% Optical where the flyers (on the right in the photo above) will be going into every visitors bag. The printed magazines will also be available in the press area. As for all my consumer readers who still wish to have a printed version then you can still purchase the magazine online. It is still a free magazine but as per usual we still ask for you to cover the P&P. The printed magazine may be at your local opticians now and the digital version will be going live next week ready for the 100% optical show which I am highly excited about!!! For any brands reading this and are interested in advertising with us then a new structure will be introduced ready for issue 9. Have a great weekend all and see you back here on Monday!
