Right, I promise after this blog post on 100% Optical I will be easing off on all the chat because I know since the show opened on 7th February there has been none stop write ups on the show but there is so much to talk about that I didn’t want to miss anything out. I certainly don’t want you lovely readers to miss out, especially on all the eyewear I have found. This post it is just a quick summary of what happened during the 2015 show and most importantly to give you the all important dates for next years show so for all optical professionals… keep those dates free in your dairy and sorry mum but it will fall on your birthday once again.
For the 2015 show visitors numbers went up by 25% compared to last year. The exact figure is still being audited and it will take a while but the estimated figure is over 6400 and hopefully this figure should be higher once an audit has been completed. This show not only attracted more visitors but also more exhibitors to get involved and everyone gave very positive feedback regarding the show so the only way is up for 2016.
Not only did the show attracted more visitors, exhibitors have said this year there has been a 40% increase in sales and many have gained new customers too so that could only benefit us as consumers because that means better selections of frames for us to choose from and better eye testing equipment. I mean let’s not forget, there were not only eyewear brands exhibiting, there was also eye testing equipment and contact lenses. So the real winners coming out of this show are us consumers as we are the end users who will benefit from all this.
Unlike conventional trade shows 100% Optical also made sure they are trying to do something a bit different by offering a frame making workshop so it is very interactive for visitors to get involved. Not forgetting the fashion show which was brilliantly put together and visitors were impressed once again by the high standards. So if you have not been to this show 2 years in a row then I urge you to go next year! Just go and enjoy the experience and see what it is all about. Go and see for yourself and for next year, the dates are from Saturday 6th – 8th February 2016! SAVE THE DATE!!!!
