STAY TUNED! Today’s blog post is all about how glasses can help raise money this year for Red Nose Day 2015. High street specs giant Specsavers is the official partner of Red Nose Day this year, and are encouraging customers to make their face funny for money with the Red Nose Day eyebrow glasses – available for £3 in stores nationwide.
It is that simple if you want to do your bit for Comic relief. For my overseas readers who may not be aware of what Comic Relief is… it is basically a massive charity event that takes place once a year and all the money raised goes to various charities within the UK and aboard so yes, a very big deal indeed. You can do your bit by simply visiting your local Specsavers store and buying a pair of their novelty red frames with crazy eyebrows (I do believe this is for UK stores only). For every pair of glasses sold £1 goes towards Comic Relief and we are also encouraging people to show their #funnyformoney faces online by tweeting #RND @Specsavers with a picture of you in your dashing comedy spectacles. In store there are two sizes available so adults and children can both get involved and we can all show our support by doing something funny for money.
I did pop into my local store today to buy my very own pair but they are still waiting for them to be delivered so once I have bought mine I shall show you my #FunnyForMoney snap on here and via my social media channels 😉 On a more serious note Specsavers stores nationwide will support the sale of the novelty glasses to help raise £250,000 with a range of comedy fundraising events in high streets and shopping centres everywhere. Don’t forget whether it’s at home, work or school, the public are being encouraged to make their face funny for money this Red Nose Day, which takes place on Friday 13 March.
