I think for me one thing I really miss about not working (especially now) is that I am missing all the press events! However, today I cannot complain because I was rocking my baby to sleep whilst watching Sex And The City – I was officially “living the dream” haha.
Anyway, tonight there is a press event happening and I am of course not there (being on maternity leave) but I do have some images to share with you of the range itself. Tonight Taylor Morris is hosting a launch party to mark the launch of their high summer 2015 collection.
I of course not being at the event cannot tell you what I think of the frames but looking at the images they look stunning. The shapes are different to what they have been doing, they seem larger and some of them is so on trend with a hint of a 70’s vibe. I am also loving the use of mirrored lenses, Even though it isn’t something new I think the colour they have chosen finishes off the frame nicely.

I cannot comment on the quality because I am not there to play around with them but I am pretty sure the boys have upgraded all the materials to their frames. When I was looking at them during 100% Optical all their hinges are now the top grade 7 barrel plus the acetates are also better quality. It’s great to see they have taken feedback on board and applied it to their eyewear. Even without seeing them I am confident the quality will be pretty damn good.

I don’t think I have much more to say without seeing them first hand and I am not going to make up things to tell you but from my understanding some are in matt finish which is quite a nice finishing touch. There is one style which is a limited edition (The Ivory Rollright). Prices start at £130 and they are available now on their website. I have my eye on the Invidia, I love the shape and the green gradient lenses are rather striking. You can check out a behind the scenes video of The Taylor Morris Team when they travelled to Namibia to film for the 2015 High Summer Collection Campaign here.
I am really looking forward to checking the collection out first hand once my little lady is a bit more settled. I am sure the boys (Hugo and Charlie) are throwing a rather good launch party right now and I am just totally gutted that I am not there!
