Yesterday my little girl reached 2 months old and today I attended my first ever event since her birth. It was a little daunting to say the least because I feel a bit out of the game and leaving my daughter behind for the evening was rather odd. I been taking care of her for the past 2 months but to suddenly not do it for one evening is weird but I have to say it is nice to have a night off too (thanks mum!).
So what was my first event? Well I have had quite a few invites but this was the one at the right time when I feel ready to go. The guys at Mondottica (the guys who hold the licence for their eyewear range) invited me along to the new Ted Baker Moore store opening over in East London at 132 Commercial Street. The store is lush! It is a lifestyle store that sells everything from Ted Baker shoes, jewellery to of course eyewear. If you love the brand (which I am a huge fan of) then you need to check out the store.
I was of course there to check out the eyewear, not that I haven’t seen the range before but it was really refreshing to see the eyewear range in such a different setting. If you think they just had the sunglasses range then you are wrong, they had optical AND some Ted Baker reading glasses. In the store you will pretty much see the entire Ted Baker optical range and let me tell you now, it is highly unlikely you will ever see the whole range stocked in an independent opticians.
I also love the way Ted Baker eyewear is moving away from the traditional way of selling to consumers. Seeing all of the Ted Baker products under one roof was just fabulous and the most interesting thing is, not everything is designed under the same roof. A lot of the products are actually licensed but if you put all the products together there is no miss match and everything flows nicely. This is just a quick snippet post because I am now on my way home to see to my daughter and I just wanted to say thank you Mondottica for inviting me along. This mummy very much enjoyed her night off.
