As we are fast approaching the cold and dark winter months, the world of fashion and eyewear are already talking about summer 2016. All I can say is I am looking forward to summer already. Last week I should have attended the Taylor Morris Eyewear press day but unfortunately due to the lack of babysitters I was unable to attend. I am not brave enough to take the baby to London yet. It is just the thought of underground and carrying all her stuff. ahhh!

However, I am not missing out on too much because the guys have sent me images along with a press release to explain what the S/S 2016 Collection is all about. I know it is not as good as going there to have a play and a proper look but this is good enough for now.

Did you know it has been two years since the boys (Hugo Taylor and Charlie Morris) stepped into the world of eyewear and this is their 5th collection?! Pretty impressive hey? From the very first time I met them to now, they have definitely gone from strength to strength. A well deserved pat on the back to the boys!

When I saw the images for this collection I was immediately impressed because they have stepped up their game and are using flat lenses. Flat lenses are actually quite hard to achieve and to make them work, the design of the frame has to be pretty clever too just so they fit. However, when you get them right… they look SOOOOOO good. It really does add another dimension to the frame.

The flat lens collection is called Zero and by the look of the images they are also mirrored lenses which gives them extra impact. I think they are very striking to look at. The boys thought Zero was a bit of a gamble but I think differently!  Sometimes I feel it is important to step out of your comfort zone and do something a bit different to get the wow factor.  Those frames certainly got a “wow” from me, just from looking at the images. I look forward to seeing them first hand sometime soon! Zero will be exclusively stocked in Harvey Nichols worldwide so grab yours before they go! Prices are from £210.
