As I was saying in my preview post last week, I attended two press days and I took baby along for the first time! However, I did also drag a friend with me as a helping hand so I can take photos etc because with the baby wanting to grab everything it was not going to work.
One of the press days I went along to was the Ted Baker S/S 2016 press day that was held in their head office. I knew I was going to their press day so I dressed my baby in Ted Baker baby 😉 hehe. It’s got to be done – right? Plus, I LOVE Ted Baker’s baby range and for S/S 2016 they are rolling out a mini me range! Hello!! Matching outfits with my baby girl! Yes!!!

First of all I love their head office. One of the best head offices I have been to and I want to work there. lol! Everything just screams Ted Baker. Even the toilets although of course I am not there to review their toilets. The reason why I wanted to go to this press day so badly is because this is the first time eyewear was being showcased WITH the clothing range. Not forgetting, Ted Baker are also stepping into the lifestyle sector (bedding, tea sets, candles, bikes you name it, they’ve got it!). I really was seeing everything together in one place, the Ted Baker world.
I have to say, I was so impressed when I saw everything together because you can see how the eyewear fits in within the range of products rather than the norm of the eyewear having it’s own separate press day. For S/S 2016 Ted Baker has gone for minty green, bold orange and red as the key statement colours with prints that are even bolder from arty to modern geo and that definitely translates into the eyewear beautifully.

Ted Bakers eyewear range is actually licenced to eyewear design house Mondottica as they are experts in the field but you can tell all the detailing is Ted Baker and not “just another product” that has been licensed off (and looks nothing like the brand, one of my pet hates in eyewear).
My favourite has to be the marble effect optical frame (See photo above). The colours used are practically identical to one of their dresses. With all the Ted Baker eyewear I am such a huge fan of the subtle use of rose gold detailing. I love rose gold anyway and it is just a nice touch to have throughout their entire range from clothes, shoes, even the baby range and now, eyewear too.
Since this press day was all about S/S 2016 sunglasses were of course a big part. Again I totally loved the rose gold frames, they looked very sleek and sophisticated. Seeing them together with everything else you can see how it all flows and works together.

The all important question, what do I think the of the quality? Well they are certainly not bad at all. They may not be at the top end of the scale but then again the price tag doesn’t reflect that. At around £100 for a pair of sunglasses you are certainly getting your moneys worth, if not more.
If you are a fan of Ted Baker then I think it is safe to say you will love the eyewear collection. It is everything you love about Ted Baker all rolled into glasses and sunglasses. Please bring out some Ted Baker baby sunglasses soon! The Ted Baker S/S 2016 collections will be rolling out from January 2016 onwards so look out for them at their stores and online.
