Salt Eyewear is not a new brand, of course, but a brand I am very fond of. They founder of the brand is all about attention to detail and when you look at the frame closely, they really are stunning eyewear. The detail truly makes them stand out from the rest, Salt is not about creating wacky statement eyewear, in fact quite the opposite. Making frames that are understated and timeless.
Salt stands for sea, air, land and timeless, so I think it is pretty self-explanatory as to what inspires the founder, nature of the course. The simplicity and the colour of the collection certainly show that.
During Copenhagen specs I saw the latest collection and they are even better than the last collection. Super thin acetate with thin metal arm, lightweight, elegant and certainly timeless. Some of the finishing such as around the hinges and the frame, it was just perfection, seamless and smooth. It may sound crazy, but not many eyewear brands can achieve it to that level. I was impressed by how lightweight they were and trying them on, they did feel weightless and therefore comfortable.
