Metronome was for sure one of those brands which really stood out to me. The stand may not be at the most obvious place but when I walked past it, you cannot help but take a look. The stand and how the glasses were displayed was quite fun and interesting to look at and it makes you a bit curious to explore further. As well as the eye-catching display the eyewear had a real wow factor too. I have to admit, I do have a real soft spot for Asian eyewear because they are just more over the top with the design and yet wearable. I always think, if you want to make a statement with your eyewear then look for an Asian brand. Some of them do offer the craziest design and people do wear them.
So, Metronome head designer is from Japan and hence the collection got a very strong influence from that side of the world and the brand was only born back in February this year (2017). It is a very new brand indeed. I loved the bold pieces on offer but yet wearable and I also loved how they have been designed and constructed together. Since the design is bold, they have toned down the use of bright colours and instead offering a more muted palette but you will see a subtle splash of bright colours every now and then to give the frame the extra edge.
If you are adventurous with your eyewear, love your Japanese design/ tech and like to explore new brands then take a look at Metronome. The website itself is pretty cool too and I hope to see more from them in the future. Good luck team Metronome!
