I spotted Georgesband as I was about to leave Silmo on Friday and heading back to my hotel. I had a VERY early start on Friday, up at 2am to catch the first flight to Paris at 6am so by 4pm on Friday afternoon I was truly tried and ready to call it a day. As I was heading to collect my luggage I had to walk past all the eyewear stands and at the very last stand Georgesband was there. Baring in mind, I was very tired by this point and I have been seeing glasses all day but something made me stop to take a look. I was drawn in by the shape and all the cool guitar/ music influence which was on display. I wanted to find out more.

The creator of Georgesband comes from a music background and I can certainly see this influence coming through within the small details such as the shape of the glasses to the tip of the temple. I think anyone who is a bit of music fan will take a liking to this brand immediately. The company is based in Italy but all the frames are handcrafted in Korea which is quite a unique selling point I feel. Many companies will choose to have the glasses made in Italy as it is seen as high quality and it is what Italy is known for but places such as Japan and Korea also produce some amazing quality frame along with using some cool new technology in producing the frame.

The brand is probably more focused on sunglasses but they do have a range of optical glasses on offer too which I am quite a fan of. The metal frame with a splash of crisp crystal colour adds a nice twist. Go and check them out here, it is a relatively new brand to the market, only been going for a couple of years but if you love your music then take a look.
