Maui Jim Sunglasses. I don’t even know how to express how much love I have for them. I met the UK sales director about 4 years ago and from then on, that was it. I was converted and became a fan of the brand.
Don’t get me wrong, there are a LOT of great brands that do great sunglasses. I wear other brands too depending on my mood and what I need them for. Say, I am driving on a bright sunny winters day where the sun is lower so the glare is stronger, then without question, I will wear my Maui Jim. I feel the sun lenses they use really are the best on the market. The strong glare doesn’t even bother my eyes when I’ve got them on.

Maui Jim is well known in the sporting world. They sponsor some big sporting events in golf, football and tennis. I was privileged to be invited by the UK Maui Jim team to the Nitto ATP Tennis tournament on Tuesday 12th November. I was there as a VIP gues of Maui Jim. We had the opportunity to view some of the new styles and learn about their new lens technologies. Plus, we also watched some tennis of course. I watched the evening match between Novak Djokovic and Dominic Thiem. It was an intense game! I was at the edge of my seat. It was a fantastic evening.

So, back to Maui Jim. Why are they so good and why am I raving about them? I can go straight in and tell you all about the lens technology but I think some people may just find it is industry jargon. I always say to people, to appreciate Maui Jim, you need to try them on and compare them to another brand. The lenses are just perfection. The colour clarity is amazing and even strong glare doesn’t make your eyes feel even slightly uncomfortable. The lenses help to enhance everything you see around you, but at the same time give you the ultimate protection.

The blue light filter lens Maui Jim offers was also very impressive. Blue light is in our everyday life because of course, the sun gives out blue light. The key is to filter out harmful blue light and keep the normal blue light so it doesn’t affect our vision and how we see colour. The lenses don’t distort our vision. I am not saying other lens brands don’t know this, but just try them against a Maui Jim lens and you will know why and see the difference. Maui Jim as a brand has been known as a sunglasses brand for many years because they have spent so much money on R&D. Only recently they launched their optical range with a lab that glazes their very own Maui lenses into the optical glasses.
I cannot stress enough that if you never had the Maui Jim experience then go to your local optician and try them on. It is something that you need to try and see with your own eyes to truly understand what I am saying and why I am converted.
