Eyespace is a British eyewear company that basically brings eyewear to life from designing, manufacturing to distributing. Just a little information there for my consumer readers, back in January they launched a brand new range to their portfolio ECO Conscious which I was a fan of immediately. Why? I hear you ask.  It is a collection designed with the planet in mind. It has become even more of a hot topic right now with the pandemic.

If you want to read about my discovery of ECO Conscious range back in January then head to this post. The acetate used for the range doesn’t contain any nasty chemicals but retains the premium colours and texture of the standard acetate making them a great alternative if you want something that is completely renewable and sustainable. Another great thing is, all the ECO Conscious range comes with completely biodegradable dummy lenses. Just in case you are not aware, all the glasses you see in your opticians have plastic dummy lenses for display purposes and they go straight to the bin when a proper prescription lens is being fitted. Very wasteful.

The new style that is being added to the ECO Conscious family is Ginkgo. A feminine cat-eye which is, of course, an easy to wear style because who doesn’t love a cat-eye? It is a classic that just never goes out of fashion. Ginkgo comes in two colourways too. In transparent teal and peach crystal breaking away from some of the typical feminine colours such as red or purple.

Another great bonus point is that Eyespace has also partnered with the charity ‘One Tree Planted’, a non-profit organisation dedicated to helping reforestation in the fight against climate change, and will plant a tree for every ECO Conscious frame purchased. So, there are many great reasons to make your next pair of glasses an ECO Conscious frame by Eyespace. Want to know who stocks them or how to become a stockist if you have your own practice? Best to head over to the Eyespace website and find out more.
