On Milan, 4 February 2026 – MIDO 2026 , widely regarded as one of the world’s leading international eyewear trade shows, has come to a close at Fiera Milano Rho. Organisers say this year’s edition matched the previous year’s results for both exhibitors and visitors, reinforcing MIDO’s role as a key global meeting point for the eyewear industry, from independent eyewear brands and optical retailers to manufacturers, materials suppliers and technology providers.

Lorraine Berton, President of MIDO and ANFAO, said the show once again demonstrated the sector’s energy, with busy aisles, meetings and live events supporting both relationship-building and tangible business outcomes. She also emphasised MIDO’s dual identity: a commercial platform for sourcing and product discovery, and a cultural and educational programme that connects wider global themes economics, geopolitics and changing consumer behaviour to the eyewear market.

MIDO 2026 attendance and exhibitor numbers (organiser figures)

Organisers report approximately 42,000 attendees from more than 160 countries and 1,200 exhibitors, including around 930 international exhibitors, across 7 halls and 8 exhibit areas.

Regional participation highlights shared by organisers include:

  • Strong European attendance, with notable representation from Germany, France and Spain
  • Increased visibility from emerging markets in Africa (including Tunisia, Algeria and South Africa), the Middle East (including Syria, Oman and Saudi Arabia) and Asia (including South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, India, China)
  • Stable participation from North America, despite ongoing economic uncertainty and tariff-related tensions
  • A slight decline in attendance from Italy, attributed to the current economic context and investment decisions

In addition, MIDO 2026 recorded more than 16,000 exhibitor attendees, which organisers say reflects the show’s ability to represent the full eyewear supply chain from manufacturing, materials, components, accessories and technologies.
