The Met Gala red carpet is back and it is basically the annual fashion Olympics and every year I am watching it for one thing in particular: eyewear! Because while gowns, extravagant trains and headpieces get all the headlines, it’s often a pair of glasses or sunglasses that quietly completes the look and, honestly, making the overall look more polished.
This year’s Met Gala theme, “Fashion Is Art”, gave guests plenty of room to flex their imagination, play with drama, silhouette and of course styles. A handful of stars brought the perfect finishing touch and yes, I 100% mean statement shades.

It’s a reminder that eyewear can be more than an accessory, it can be part of someone’s personal style identity. I think Babyface showed us how it’s done.
